The World Rally will consist of 10 flights spaced at 3 day intervals spanning a 30 days period

A new company manufacturing Flight Simulator Hardware (SparkSim), has donated a “Multi-radio” which can be used by all flight simulators.  
The most dedicated and disciplined World Rally pilot who have consistently performed well in all areas of the World Rally, will receive this Multi-Radio.

Criteria for the award:

  • Consistently demonstrates a commitment to the World Rally, going the ‘extra mile’ to properly plan and execute flights.
  • For professionalism and good results in the World Rally.
  • For contribution to the improvement of the World Rally by means of positive suggestions and remarks.

Please make an effort to stick to the PIREP time schedule, but you will NOT be penalised for any late submission. The final cut-off date is 15 December 2019.

THE AIM OF THE DC-3 WORLD RALLY

  • To thoroughly enjoy your flight
  • To get the greatest satisfaction out of your proper flight planning, preparation and execution
  • To improve your ability in the usage of modern flight planners
  • To measure your abilities against other users

REGISTRATION

To register for the DC-3 Airways World Rally 2019, submit your detail by filling the Registration Form on the Registration Page.

Be sure to supply an email address. Once we have received and processed your registration, you will be notified by Email and you will get a “Race Number”. Your number will now appear on the ROSTER.

Unlike most other Rallies, you will not need to do a ‘test’ or ‘calibration’ flight. As for the real life Rally Flying, you have a ‘nominated’ speed of 150 GS kts.

RULES OF THE DC-3 AIRWAYS WORLD RALLY

  • Absolute integrity
  • Only DC-3/c-47 aircraft
  • All flights to be conducted in cloud and visibility OK (CAVOK)
  • Your nominated ground speed (GS) is 150 kts, plan your flights around this. Get your E-6B out to calculate your Indicated Airspeed (IAS) for the altitudes you are flying
